KAWG&F’S THOMAS AND GRANT AWARDED PRESTIGIOUS CERTIFIED CONSTRUCTION FINANCIAL PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATION

Baltimore , MD -- Baltimore-based public accounting and consulting firm Katz, Abosch, Windesheim, Gershman & Freedman (KAWG&F) is pleased to announce that Kent Thomas and Terry Grant were awarded the Certified Construction Financial Professional (CCFP) designation, awarded by the Institute of Certified Construction Financial Professionals, in conjunction with the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).

Thomas and Grant qualified for the CCFP designation by excelling in various areas specifically related to the construction field, such as accounting and reporting, income recognition, budgeting and planning, risk management, taxes, human resources, legal, information technology, and joint ventures. They join only a handful of Certified Public Accountants in public practice in Maryland who have earned the certification.

A member of KAWG&F for more than 25 years, Thomas is a CPA and shareholder with the firm and co-chairs the Construction Group Practice. He has worked with KAWG&F to provide contractors and construction firms with accounting and tax services. Additionally, he works with clients in management consulting such as assistance in obtaining bonding and financing, business valuations, business succession planning, and job cost systems evaluation and design. A graduate of James Madison University, Thomas currently resides in Cockeysville.

A member of KAWG&F for more than 15 years, Grant is a CPA specializing in services unique to the construction industry such as accounting issues, government contracting, tax, bonding and financing issues. A shareholder with the firm and member of the Construction Group Practice, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of Baltimore. Grant is a resident of Fallston.
