NATIONAL INDUSTRY PUBLICATION HONORS KAWG&F AS AN INNOVATIVE FIRM

Practical Accountant Magazine Recognizes Firm for Technology Advancement

Baltimore, MD—National accounting industry publication, Practical Accountant Magazine, has honored Baltimore-based public accounting and consulting firm Katz, Abosch, Windesheim, Gershman & Freedman (KAWG&F) with its “Practice Innovation Award.” The annual award recognizes firms that take the lead in new services and promoting efficiency in the practice of public accounting.

Due to continued growth, KAWG&F underwent a technology transformation in 2004 including the implementation of a paperless system and a complete technology conversion to accommodate the firm’s three offices and more than 80 individuals working remotely.

The firm was selected as one of the 2005 recipients for successfully transforming the entire technology infrastructure including the de-fragmentation of more than two million files, installation of new servers and core applications, as well as a new software platform.

In addition to the installations and implementations of new servers and core applications, the firm’s headquarters has a state of the art new server room, a 45-seat training facility with electronic data tables, high end visual and audio capabilities, custom made conference tables with power network access, and projector connectivity.
