KAWG&F NAMES ARLENE CIROULA AS
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Regional accounting and consulting
firm appoints new officer to meet growth needs
Baltimore, MD -- Baltimore-based
public accounting and consulting firm, Katz, Abosch, Windesheim,
Gershman & Freedman, P.A. (KAWG&F) announces that
Arlene Ciroula has been named the firm’s Chief Operating
Officer. Ciroula assumes responsibility for the firm’s
daily operations including facilities management, information
technology, human resources, administration and marketing.
Ciroula joined KAWG&F in 2003 as the Director of Administration
Marketing. She spearheaded a major technology transformation
for the firm in 2004 including the implementation of a paperless
system and a complete technology conversion to accommodate
the firm’s three offices and more than 80 individuals
working remotely. Due to her efforts, KAWG&F has been
recognized on a local and national level as an innovator
within the accounting industry. Most recently, Practical
Accountant Magazine honored the firm with its “2005
Innovation Award.” Within the past 18 months, Ciroula
orchestrated and managed the relocation of KAWG&F’s
headquarters from Towson to Timonium, as well as the relocation
of the firm’s two satellite offices in Bel Air and
Columbia to new office spaces.
In 2004, Ciroula oversaw the establishment of the “KAWG&F
University”, a state-of-the-art training and conference
center. The University is staffed by a training coordinator
who manages the firm’s continuing professional education
(CPE) program and offers partner organizations the opportunity
to host seminars and conferences in an educational setting.
“Arlene has been an asset to the firm’s growth
for several years and our board has confidence in her business
acumen,” said Alvin D. Katz, CEO and Managing Director
at KAWG&F. “As COO, Arlene provides industry knowledge
and leadership to ensure that every facet of the firm operates
to the highest level of quality on a daily basis.”
Prior to joining KAWG&F, Ciroula served as the Firm
Administrator for Rotenberg & Company, LLP in Rochester,
New York.
Ciroula is a graduate of the University of Delaware with
a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is a member of the
Association for Accounting Marketing and the Association
of Accounting Administrators. She has volunteered with Literacy
Volunteers of America and the Make a Wish Foundation. Ciroula
resides in Towson, MD.
